My research interests include machine learning and optimization, with a particular focus on their applications in operations research. Most recently I was a quantitative researcher atTwo Sigma Investments. Before that, I received my Ph.D. (2012) and M.S. (2009) from the Information Systems Lab of the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University, where my advisor was Professor Benjamin Van Roy. I have worked on various machine learning projects in Google, Yahoo, and Goldman Sachs during 2006 to 2010. Prior to these, I received my B.S. (2006) in electrical engineeringfrom National Taiwan University.
