Brief Biography

My research interests include machine learning and optimization, with a particular focus on their applications in operations research. Most recently I was a quantitative researcher at Two Sigma Investments. Before that, I received my Ph.D. (2012) and M.S. (2009) from the Information Systems Lab of the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University, where my advisor was Professor Benjamin Van RoyI have worked on various machine learning projects in Google, Yahoo, and Goldman Sachs during 2006 to 2010. Prior to these, I received my B.S. (2006)  in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University.
